Seems like it’s been around forever! Back in 1942, At Last was the flip side of “I’ve Got a Gal In Kalamazoo” by The Glenn Miller Orchestra. It wasn’t ’till 1960 that Etta James recorded it, but most people think of her classic version above all others. Etta James, herself, was outspoken when Beyonce sang it at the presidential innaguration — complaining that it was “her song!” Whoever sings it, At Last is a good song, but it becomes great because of the incredible talents heard in this version. Each time I hear it, I fall in…

Great Song This is the version of the single released in 1961. It became the signature song for Etta James who was also referred to as the ‘Matriarch Of R&B’. The MP3 sound exceeded my expectation. Highly recommended.

“At Last” was a featured song at the Obama inauguration for a good reason. Not only the sentiment The television show “Northern Exposure” brought Etta’s music to a ton of new people who had never heard her. “At Last” was a featured song at the Obama inauguration for a good reason. Not only the sentiment, but the music said a lot. The orchestration is just as enjoyable as the song itself. Listen to it at least twice.
